A Two day Faculty Development Programme on "Android Apps"

A two day workshop on "Android Applications" was organized on July 4-5, 2014 by Computer Science Engineering Department with cooperation from JKC Hyderabad to faculty of engineering colleges. Resource persons Mr. T. Pavan Kumar Reddy, Ms. E. Gouthami and Lokagna from JKC Hyderabad educated and trained the students in various phases of developing a mobile app for android operating systems. Participants were encouraged to do coding, debugging, testing and launching an app on Google play during the program. In the valedictory function all the participants who successfully finished all the training modules were congratulate. In the valedictory function resources persons and participants expressed their views about the program and gave a good feedback, Director Dr. AVS. Prasad lauded the commitment of JKC Hyderabad in imparting technical skills by sparing their resource persons in organizing such as this advanced level training workshops. Participants Certificates were distributed by HOD CSE dept. at the end of the programme.

Faculty Development Programme on "BIG DATA"

The reign of the world of computers is witnessing the growth of technological advancement in the field of computers. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering of ASCET organized a two-day - faculty enablement programme (FEP) on 28 & 29 Dec 2013 on "Big-Data techniques " for the benefit of the faculty members of CSE. As many as 60 faculty members from various engineering colleges attended the programme. The objective of this programme was to make faculty of CSE Dept strong in Big DATA techniques. The seminar was blessed with the valuable intellectual expertise, Mr. Sambith Radh, Bijohn Cloud Systematic Private Limited, Chennai. Mr. Sambith Radh in his inaugural address highlighted the relevance of the wholesome development of the teaching faculty & directed to keep abreast of emerging technology trends in computers through Technical Conferences, Trainings and Certifications. He categorically analyzed the components of teacher qualities and competencies with reference to the pillars of education and suggested the need for quality education. The workshop covered several commonly encountered challenges by providing greater depth of focus on fundamentals of "Big-Data techniques ". The live interaction on the theme made each and every participant energized.

FEP on "Database Design and Programming with SQL"

The Faculty Enablement Program (FEP) is one of the most prolific programme at ASCET. "Data base Design and Programming with S.Q.L" was conducted for faculty members of Engg colleges in and around Gudur from Sep. 16-20 by the dept. of Computer Science Engineering in collaboration with JKC. The purpose of this programme is to expose faculty to the latest techniques of SQL. Quite a good number of faculty members responded and participated actively in the programme. Participants felt that they were much benefited by the programme. On the occasion the Chief Guest Mr. Anil kumar, JKC DDM guided the faculty to get in touch with good knowledge of data base and programming with SQL. Mr. Vamsi, Trainer, Oracle Corporation, also spoke on the occasion. This programme added & enhanced the knowledge of all the participants.The valedictory function of FEP was held on September 20, 2013. All the delegates near and far expressed their complete satisfaction and acknowledged that the program proved to be a good platform for equipping themselves with the "Data Base Design and Programme with SQL". Mr. Vamsi, Trainer, Oracle Corporation added, "As technology has become a vital and integral part of every organization, faculty members should ensure themselves to stay informed about the current trends and issues in technology & impart Globally Transferable Skill sets to the students in the classroom. The programme ended with a prize distribution.

Faculty Development Programme on "Red Hat Linux"

A Seven Day Workshop was on "The Red Hat Linux Operating Systems" organized by Dept CSE on 9-16, May, 2013. The Chief Guest K. Suresh on the occasion, speaking that the operating system of Red hat Linux is worldly popularized and using it more than other operating systems. The Red hat Linux has proved itself that it would give the security of the confidential information, software and Networking for the reason that the operating system which has been playing a vital role for the safety of all operation. In validictory function, Participation Certificates will be given to the faculty, who has gained handful knowledge from this training..

Faculty Enablement Programme on IBM Rational Seed

A four day Faculty Enablement Programme on "IBM RATIONAL SEED" was held on from 28th to 31st November 2012. On this occasion ASCET entered into MOU with IBM, as part of which technical training would be imparted to the faculty and students. Mr.Kunal Dureja, Manager, IBM India, Hyd., said that the technical products and services of IBM would be provided to ASCET as part of the MOU. Training sessions were held for the faculty by IBM resource persons on IBM Rational seed.

Faculty Enablement Programme Organized by JKC & ORACLE

A Three-day Faculty Enablement Programme was held on 05.02.12. The programme was organized under the joint auspicious of CSE dept, Institute of Electronic Governance and Oracle Private Limited on the theme "Object Oriented Programmes(OOPS)". Participating in the event as the Chief Guest, Mr Pratyoosh, IEG Programme Manager, urged the faculty to upgrade their technical skills and expertise by participating frequently in such academic events. Mrs. Shanmukha Priya, Corporate Trainer, Oracle India Limited emphasized the need to learn innovative methodologies in bringing the modern technology closer to the students. Dr.A.V.S.Prasad, Principal, Prof. C. Rajendra, H.O.D CSE and faculty took part in the event.

A One-day Faculty Development Programme on "Mobile Computing"

A one - day  Faculty  Development  Programme  was  conducted  by  CSE  Dept  at ASCET on  "Mobile computing"  on 30,Nov,2011. Mr. B. Jaya Bharath Reddy , Technical Lead, Samsung dealt  elaborately on the topic on " Mobile Computing", and clarified several doubts raised by the faculty related to the topic . Dr AVS Prasad, Principal said that the college was initiating every possible step to enhance the professional,engineering skills of the students.  Mr B.Mohan Krishna, Managing  Partner, Smart Bridge Info Tech. Prof C.Rajendra, H.O.D,CSE, and large number of  faculty took part in the event.

A One - day Faculty Development Programme on "Optimizing Techniques"

A one - day Faculty Development Programme was conducted by CSE Department of ASCET on the subject of Optimising Techniques on 29-11-2011. Addressing the faculty on the occasion. Dr. K.V.Dakshina Murthi, President, ISE, Hyderabad out lined the critical role played by Optimization Techniques in the soft ware applications. Principal, Dr. AVS. Prasad, Prof. C. Rajendra HOD CSE, faculty and students took part in the programme.

A One - day Faculty Development Programme on "Network Programming"

A two-day faculty development programme was held on 20.05.2011 for the benefit of CSE faculty. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. V. Sudhakar, NIT Warangal advised the faculty to develop better understanding of modern technology. In the make of the wide-spread use of Internal, a letter grasp on modern technology helps enhance one's technical competence he said. It is absolutely imperative that faculty and students attain a high degree of perfection in subjects like Network Programming , he added. Dr. A.V.S. A Three - day Faculty Development Programme on "Microsoft Dot Net"

A three day Faculty Development programme on Microsoft Dot Net was conducted on 20 - 22 september,2010. Chief Guest Mr. Dhovan Kumar, Microsoft, Mumbai said that the technical standards in the students could be boosted by imparting training to the faculty. More than 50 faculty attended from various engineering colleges. Prof C.Rajendra, HOD-CSE, Dr. A.V.S. Prasad, Director , Prof. P. Sreenivasulu were present at the event.


A faculty development programme was organized by CSE Department on 6th and 7th November 2009. Mr.V.V.Suresh, Technical Director, DSS, Infosys & Mr. Ch.Sudheer, Team Lead, Prime focus conducted a Faculty Development Programe on Joomla software and droopal software - essential components of web designing. Faculty members from different Engineering Colleges under the JNTU division took part in the event.

An FDP was organized on 31-Jan -09 & 01-Feb-09 onLatest Trends in Data Mining and Datawarehousing. The HR and CEO of SHIGA Technologies, Chennai Mr. Anil Kumar delivered guest lectures.30 faculty from various Engineering Colleges attended.
